About Me

A recent transplant to Providence, RI, by way of Los Angeles and New York, I spent many years writing and producing series television before launching my psychotherapy practice. My experience of collaboration and creative process enlivens my therapeutic approach. Witnessing transformation in people who learn to mine their own hard-earned wisdom enriches what is, for me, a humbling and deeply hopeful process.

I work with individuals, couples, and families in my private practice. C.G. Jung believed we carry the world in microcosm and that attending to soul, while serving individual concerns, also ripples beyond them into the larger community. I am a trauma specialist and certified  practitioner of EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a certified couples and sex therapist through the American Association of Couples and Sex Therapists (AACAST), and a CRM (Community Resiliency Model) facilitator certified by TRI (Trauma Resource Institute).

As a parent, I have a deep appreciation for the expansive, innate creativity of children who know their needs and communicate most purposefully when they’re not being met. As adults, this creative resource often lays dormant, but can be consciously stirred through therapy to serve the process of continued growth.

I have extensive training in the treatment of Trauma, Family Therapy, School-Based Counseling, Best Practice Parenting and Gang Awareness/Teen Empowerment Programs through Southern California Counseling Center.  In South Central (through Watts Labor Community Action Committee), I facilitated trauma-informed anger and substance abuse groups aimed at empowering kids and adults, expanding stories, mining resilience, and building community.

I earned an MA in Counseling Psychology (Emphasis in Depth Psychology) from Pacifica Graduate Institute and a BFA from New York University.  I am a member of RIAMFT, AAMFT, EMDRIA,,AACAST and Writers Guild of America. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Rhode Island, California, and New York.
